As with many businesses today, Montauk BeverageWorks is growing from humble beginnings.
It all started when I was a young kid. My parents would insist on diluting with water the sugary drinks found
on supermarkets across the nation. As a kid, I never understood the impact these beverages had on my health.
The older I got, the more I understood the effect of drinking so many beverages with processed sweeteners.
When going to college, I would rely on deli sandwiches and a bottled drink in between classes at lunch.
Unfortunately, the delis didn’t provide any healthy alternatives to the sugary sodas and iced teas that lined their coolers.
In an effort to find a truly healthy iced tea, I began experimenting. With a tiny teapot and my family as the focus group,
I began mixing and matching premium tea leaves in order to find the ultimate recipe for a healthier alternative to the large
iced tea competitors.
One year after beginning my search, Montauk BeverageWorks was born. And now, with a Public Storage facility and my sisters
Hyundai Tucson, I’m on the road to show deli owners and other small-business owners that it is possible to sell a great tasting
iced tea that doesn’t need to be masked with 12 teaspoons of sugar.
